A return To form of the Boagmeister

Match conditions were looking good for the game against Heartaches, which has proved to be one of the most popular fixtures of the season.
Despite the slightly overcast conditions The Cavaliers decided to bat having won the toss. This may have been a mistake as the ball started to swing and the top order started to crumble. The cavaliers found themselves struggling at 31 for 3.This position was slightly improved when Pukar Patel came to the wicket and scored 30. A couple of further wickets and the Cavaliers position was looking quite gloomy at 64 for 5.
To the rescue came Simon Stokes and Mark Boag. They decided to attack the Heartaches bowling and both batted with great fluency. For Mark this was a real return to his best and he gave no chances to the bowlers.Simon Stokes finished on 21 and Mark just missed out on his 50,with 46.The Cavaliers final total was 168.
In reply the Heartaches started off very well and their opener Tim Rilley-Smith played very carefully with support from M Bowes. The Cavaliers had to wait for their first wicket with the score on 47,and then on 100 for the second. All of the Heartache batsmen contributed but their mainstay was Rilly-Smith who was eventually bowled for Stuart Nash for 60. Heartaches were down to their penultimate pair when they went over the finishing line. Of the Cavaliers bowlers RD Sean bowled very well for no wickets. The wickets were shared out by Patel 3, Nash 3 and Whitbow 2.
