O/Ls won the toss and decided to bat. This proved to be a good decision as the Cavaliers were fielding a below par bowling attack.Their batting was very confident and they reached 126 without loss.Eventually they decided to declare due to the impending rain. This left their opener stranded on 96,and a final team total of 220 for 3 in 40 overs.
In reply the Cavaliers made a good start with the first wicket falling for 74 runs.Unfortunately the run rate increased and with the loss of two wickets made the chase more difficult.David Boreham was determined that a win was still on the cards and hit a great 46 in 33 balls.Wickets tumbled all around him and eventually the Cavaliers had to bat out for a draw. It's worth mentioning for the O/Ls Edward Carter took 7 wickets for 30 runs.
