Having won the toss the Cavaliers decided to bat.The openers made heavy weather of the bowling and runs came at a slow trickle.Once again David Boreham injected more life into the run rate and made a very creditable 47.The only other noteworthy contribution came from Mark Boag who made 31 Not Out.Interestingly 5 of the Cavaliers wickets were taken by the slow bowling of the well nourished E Gill.He did nothing other that lobb the ball onto a length and let the batsmen/pitch do the rest. Finally the Cavaliers declared on 158 for 8 after 44 overs.
In reply London Theatres made light of the Cavaliers bowling attack and reached 40 without loss. The breakthrough to remove their captain came with Mark Boag taking an excellent catch off the bowling of Joe Parnell. The annoying wicket keeper hung around and was supported by another thesbian who scored 50.
The London Theatres reached our total in 23 overs for the loss of just 2 wickets.
