On yet another baking hot day,the Norsemen having won the toss not surprisingly decided to bat.The bowling from the Cavaliers was good but some near misses and dropped catches meant that the Norsemen progressed to 231 for 8 after 34 overs.Keld of the Norsemen deserves special mention as he made 89 batting in a Gold helmet. He's threatened to play for us but I've said only if he has the Gold lame suit to match.
In reply,The Cavaliers lost too many early wickets to have a realistic crack at the total. If Pukar Patel, who made a very good 41, had stayed in then we might have been nearer.Scott Sanders also made a creditable 41.
In fact getting the draw was not a formality as it had once seemed.Stephen Kent did a great job to hold out but at the other end wickets were tumbling.Jason Pawluk had to defend the last over to last over to obtain the draw, which he did manage !
Man of the Match Pukar Patel
