At least we had a lovely day for it. However, appreciation of the climatic conditions was somewhat tempered by the loss of both openers with only one run on the board (that being a wide). Unfortunately the theme of low scores and wickets falling continued right through to the end of the innings.
The one notable exception being Mitch Hunt (31), making his debut for RCC, and who played exceptionally well taking the attack to Jesters.
Special mention of Toby Lelean and Sam Vahdati, from our U13s, who both batted sensibly but, like all 10 wickets to fall, were undone by the straight ball. (Our 10 wickets were 8 bowled and 2 lbws).
Strangely enough 64 was not enough to defend but we kept at it and at least we got some wickets (Laclan Evans, Mitch Hunt and Toby Lelean getting one a piece) so back to the Clubhouse it was for early beers in the summer sunshine.
Man of the match: Mitch Hunt.
