First 50 for RCC for Andre Stevenson (76) and 3 dismissals behind the stumps, Hemish Gunasekara (4 wickets) and Chris Edwards (2 wickets).

On a beautiful sunny Autumn afternoon Nomads batting went into self destruct mode after a bright second wicket partnership between Olly Smith and Charles Peerless had reached 52. Four wickets fell for 18 runs to the slow variation of Gunesekara and two to left arm seamer Edwards. Added to Nomads woes was the temporary retirement of Charles Peerless who had been batting confidently having hit a six and two fours.

A stand of 36 by Clark and Blumberg was cut short with the latters run out whereupon Clark chased a huge wide ball and knicked it to the wicket keeper.

Charles Peerless' return to the crease at the end of the innings was shortlived as he charged Williams and was stumped. David MacVicar added a few valuable late runs but Nomads total of 132 was probably 100 short of a challenging total.

After a splendid tea Richard Clark and Will vincent opened the bowling and regularly beat the bat and induced some snicks which unfortunately sped to the boundary rather than to the fielders hands.

On another day both may well have had a clutch of wickets but this was not Nomads day. Stevenson grew in confidence especially with the replacement of the opening bowlers with Andy Smith's spin and David MacVicar inswing.

Roehampton's openers added 105 for the first wicket. The batting was far from elegant and full of miss hits but it proved highly effected. SThompson fell first clubbing Andy Smith to the long on boundary where Richard Clark took the catch. Stevenson followed with the score just short of victory, bamboozled by Charles Peerless's spin caught and bowled. He had scored 76 and was later awarded the Man Of Match by skipper Daryn Williams. Roehampton duly won by eight wickets off the last ball of the 29th over.

Nomads' performance was poor and failed to match the fine weather and scenic ground. Nevertheless it proved to be an anjoyable day despite the result and a good body of Nomads drank at the club bar and later at the adjacent Telegraph Inn.
