A very British Summer

2nd game of the season and after getting a strong team together during the week, it was looking more like we were going to take full points on Saturday.

Set up before the game was undergoing as I decided to give the pitch a roll, engine on, happy days, as I was reversing the roller out of the container, something snapped....couldn’t figure out what it was until I tried to turn the roller around only to find out the front roller had just come off and there was no way it could be steered, I just about managed to keep it out of bounds from the ground and called Mods and SAK to let them know what I had done....shocking :(

Along came Chobham and really eager to play and after trying to toss up the coin the second time which couldn’t manage to do it properly in the first, lost the toss and were put in to bat. Looking at the pitch, I would have done the same and as the gods were watching over us, decided to open up and let the rain come down non stop and we decided to call the game off at about 3.30pm.

Before taking the covers off, Harry and Will were up for a slide on the wet covers which was the highlight of the day only for Will to find out he didn’t have spare boxers on him.

All back to the clubhouse and after appointing a new fines master of the season, Alex Urquhart, we got our first fines session in ages, more beers after, Eurovision party was on as requested by Max and Pukar finished it off nicely with a bucket of chicken for Josh, Will and I to clean it all up.

4 points in the bag, what could possibly have gone wrong?
