Conditions were lovely on Saturday in a match in which Alleyn CC won the toss and elected to bat first.

Given Alleyn’s position in the table, Fahad’s prematch talk emphasised the importance in keeping their total down to double figures. In that respect, Roehampton CC did not disappoint. In stepped Sadeed to try and change the momentum of the game with some explosive shots, hitting 3 boundaries (including a 6). Jamie Weatherald, of Alleyn CC, was a thorn in Roehampton’s side all day though and he collected his 5 wickets to end the match with Roehampton all out for 71.
