Croydon Casual Sunday Nets
Sanket Patel (RCC 2s/Sundays) has reserved 2 nets at Trinity School, Shirley Park, Croydon CR9 7AT from 3-4pm on the 6th, 13th, 20th and 27 March.
The nets are open to all RCC members and friends.
Contact Sanket if you are interested (07944555626).We are always keen to hear from any RCC alumni. We have recently been contacted by an ex-member from the 1940s, and we'd now like to try and find players from every decade from then to the end of the 20th Century, so please do get in touch.
We are aiming to play a club match on 16th April, and have a tidy up of the clubhouse and ground, followed by a barbecue - please get in touch with Pete/Josh if you're interested.
As for the last few years, we are pleased to announce our "inflation-buster" - subs will remain at the same level for 2011. £130, or £115 if paid by the end of May.
We have booked 2 nets at The Oval for one hour from 8-9pm on Thursdays 21st and 28th April, 2011
We have 2 nets at Lords, 9-10pm, on 28th March, and 3 nets on 4th April at 9pm.
Simon Morgan has booked the use of nets at Battersea Ironsides from 09:30-13:00 every weekday for the last 3 weeks in April.
Members of the club picked up awards at the Fuller's League Annual Dinner last week - the 1st XI as champions of their division; Club of the Month for May; and Joe Arnold was the top wicket taker in the 1st XI 2nd division.
The Club AGM will be held in the clubhouse on Monday, 6th December at 19:30. Come along to hear the committee update you on the latest with the pitch redevelopment, the Treasurer’s report and the Captains review of the season gone. Most importantly it’s your chance to have your say! Club bar in operation along with heating in the clubhouse!
Roehampton Cricket Club 1st XI have won the Second Division of the Fuller's Brewery Surrey League, and will be promoted to the First Division as champions!
RCC 1st XI won 14 matches, more than any other team in the division; whilst Joe Arnold and Shak Perera finiashed as the top 2 wicket takers in the division.
The 2nd XI notched up their 6th win (8th including the 2 expunged matches) and finished the season on a high. This resulted in a creditable 6th position in the league - the was best finish for the 2s since 2005.
